Howard Ebison's biography
Howard Ebison narrowly missed the final of this year’s blockbusting Apprentice show on BBC. He was one of the more surprising departures from Series 5 of the twelve part show which had record audience ratings in their millions. His unfaltering professionalism and ability to deliver under pressure had put him as one of the favourites and now he is destined to be a popular public speaker and media favourite..
His fate was sealed after an extremely challenging and stressful television shopping task in Week 10 where he was team leader selling products live on a national television. Product choice and dog eat dog tactics by other hopefuls at the end of the day caused his surprise demise. Nevertheless he was complimented for his calm and professionalism by television and media professionals.
Popular amongst the other candidates Howard got off to a strong start leading the boys to victory on the first task. Demonstrating strong management, sales and design skills he had an excellent run in the show. Bowing out with his head held high Howard had one of the highest proportions in Apprentice history of green “hired” votes in the Adrian Chiles “You’re Fired” Apprentice analysis show.
Prior to appearing on The Apprentice the 24- year-old was an Area Manager for one of the leading National Pub and Restaurant chains operating multi-million pound businesses in Central London. He was also training for his Chartered Institute of Management Accountants’ (CIMA) qualification which he put on hold whilst taking part in the BBC One show.
“I am a credible businessman who wants to go far. I'm incredibly ambitious. If I don't go far down this route I shall go far down another route," he says.
Howard graduated from the University of Warwick with a Maths and Business degree. No shrinking violet, he was also President of the Street Dance society where he led a team of students to success at the World Amateur Dance Championships in Barcelona. He was also an active member of the Warwick Big Band, touring extensively within the UK and further in Europe.
Public speaking and television doesn’t worry him because he has performed in many theatrical productions, including a play at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival. This background has helped develop his assertive and accomplished presentation style.
Born and raised to a family of retailers in Surrey, Howard now lives in Derby. He has backpacked the world and is always on the lookout for the next challenge or opportunity.
Howard has already been approached my many different companies and organisations to get involved in different projects. He hopes to help children and students learn about business at an earlier stage in their education.
