Simon Ambrose's biography
A high achiever, Simon moved to New York in 2000 a week after graduating from Cambridge aged only 20 to forge a career in investment banking for Credit Suisse, a bank heavily involved in the dot-com boom.
Three years later after the bubble burst he was made redundant and decided to use the cash he had accumulated to get set up in business. He formed two successful companies in the worlds of retail and property, the latter putting him in good stead for his new career since winning The Apprentice in 2007, working under Sir Alan Sugar at his private real estate venture, Amsprop.
