Kimberly Davis - national enterprise academy
Kimberly spoke to our students here at the Peter Jones Enterprise Academy in Amersham. She made a real connection with everyone in the room inviting questions and welcoming discussion allowing a free flow of conversation and ideas. She expressed her interest in their business ventures, providing guidance and support on and actively promoting innovative business development. Her background was fascinating and after listening to Kimberly it became clear that she was a natural entrepreneur. Her passion, drive and dedication for her own business Sarsaparilla Marketing was evident and left the students all feeling motivated and hungry for success. A fantastic, energy driven session which left us all feeling inspired."
Philip Taylor - Shadow Culture Secretary
I was bowled over by Philip’s presentation to West Notts College students. His delivery was fantastic and was perfectly pitched for the age group. Philip engaged and motivated students but he also made them laugh as he has a great sense of humour and doesn't mind laughing at himself either. When the young people asked Philip questions he was honest and candid about the need to be determined and hard working and his highs and lows. He speaks with such an authentic voice which makes him really stand out and the teachers told me afterwards that even students who had issues with concentration were gripped from beginning to end. Philip was just fantastic!
Lee McQueen - Loughborough University
Tom Beech, student, “I really enjoyed Lee's enthusiastic presentation; he was someone in The Apprentice that I felt I could relate to so I was very glad to get the opportunity to meet him.”
Camilla Burrows, student, “I thoroughly enjoyed Lee's presentation and evening after. It was not only interesting to see his business life history but it was also inspiring and thought provoking for my future. I was able to take away many valuable ideas that will be useful in my career decisions. I really enjoyed the whole talk and felt it was time well spent.”
Eddy Elton, Loughborough University member of staff, “Lee was a very charismatic speaker with plenty of interesting topics to talk about. He seemed to suggest that you don’t have to be the world’s cleverest person to run your own business; it’s a case of hard work and planning. The talk was very reassuring and motivational.”
Besnike Hoxha, student, “It was insightful, informative, interesting but most of all inspiring.”
Philip Taylor - GDR Public Relations
Just a quick note to say thanks for your help with the filming etc with the youngsters from Lancaster yesterday. The people I spoke to after you’d gone said they were really impressed by how candid, open and approachable you were – so you’ve won some new fans there!
Lee McQueen - Hillingdon Training Ltd
I thought I would write to you personally to thank you for your contribution to last Friday's Apprenticeship Awards event. As always, your contribution was much valued.
As I said during my presentation, we feel that you have become a friend to Hillingdon Training and to our learners. Your experiences, working for Lord Sugar, on The Apprentice and in your previous working life are an inspiration to our apprentices and Young Apprentices.
We very much look forward to working with you in the future.
Claire Young - Leeds Chamber of Commerce

Philip Taylor - Wenta
“The re-launch of the btc (held in Enterprise Week 2009 to promote innovation and enterprise skills) was run by students from local schools and North Herts College who co-ordinated the planning, organisation and launch of the whole event. To raise the profile of our re-launch we wanted a celebrity who would be able to both relate to the students whilst also having a business profile. After deliberating many names we felt Phillip Taylor would fit the bill perfectly for this event.
Any preconceived notions regarding Phillip “pants man” Taylor soon disappeared once he arrived and started to mingle with the students and guests alike. He was just right and not at all the “brash” person that the television had portrayed….it is all in the editing! He had time for everyone and made the awards a personal and special memory after all of the students hard work.
Thank you Phillip and all the best with your future venture”.

Philip Taylor - Lancaster University Volunteering Unit
A very engaging, candid and open speaker who gives a compelling insight into the world of the entrepreneur and the intriguing relationship between big business and celebrity status.
Phil’s straight-talking style, coupled with his approachable nature, left an audience of students in no doubt that they can be successful if they show commitment and confidence in their ability.
Claire Young - Women's Networking Group
I was lucky enough to be present, last night, to hear Claire Young talk in a Guest Speaker capacity for my Women’s Networking group. I wanted to write a few lines to state how motivated and inspired myself and the group felt after listening to the talk.
Claire was open and honest throughout her presentation, which I feel is refreshing for someone who has been and is so successful. She discussed with us the bad times and the good and we laughed along with her as she regaled some of her stories regarding her early days in the business world. I was personally amazed how much of Claire’s life and how much hard work the TV show ‘The Apprentice’ had taken; it takes a strong character, I believe, to come through an experience such as that with your values intact.
Interesting, insightful and inspiring, if I had to sum the evening up in three word those are what I would use. Thank you Claire, I wish you well in all you do, however, I know now that your tenacity and drive will see you through anything that comes your way. A great evening , thanks again.
Claire Young - Gateshead Councils
Initially I saw Claire speaking at an event I attended and felt instantly that she would be a great motivational keynote speaker for Gateshead Councils ‘Not all dragon’s bite programme’.
Claire delivered an inspiring presentation that demonstrated drive, ambition and above all honesty regarding not only her time on the TV show ‘The Apprentice’ but also the journey she had gone through to set up her business ‘Elegant Venues’.
The aim of the evening was to celebrate enterprise and to build vital networks, Claire supported this greatly by taking the time to meet with many of the project participants providing invaluable advice and guidance with such energy and enthusiasm which will greatly support them through their individual enterprise journey.
A number of evaluations from the evening showed the impact Claire had on the audience with comments including ‘inspiring’, ‘innovative’, ‘motivational’ appearing time and time again. Claire played an invaluable role in making the event a success and I personally would like to thank Claire and wish her all the very best for what I am sure will be a very successful future ahead.
Claire Young - Aston Bright Futures
'Claire is an extremely inspirational speaker. Not only did the students admire her for her tenacity, the corporates were also very impressed by her story and delivery of the presentation. I am sure Claire will be back to Aston University, as she is a great role model for all our students. We look forward to having such a great character back.'
Claire Young - Royal Holloway, University of London
Claire Young set the Challenge and was head judge at the Marketing Challenge 2009 at Royal Holloway, University of London. Claire was absolutely brilliant, making time to talk to all the students and posing for photos with them. She is an accomplished speaker, very friendly and a pleasure to work with.
Claire Young - Coco-Cola
Claire Young brought a great deal of expertise, enthusiasm and energy to our event. Students drew inspiration from her experiences in the business world and she was an expert mentor, relating to the students in a friendly, professional manner and motivating them towards higher levels of achievement.
Kate Walsh - Coco-Cola
Many many thanks for your help at both our events last week during Global Entrepreneurship Week. Your involvement really made the experience extra special for the young people involved.
Claire Young - Bradford Chamber of Commerce
Claire Young recently spoke at our Ladies Business Lunch attended by around 80 business proffessionals from Bradford, Claire was an excellent speaker. A consumate professional she really engaged with the women during her talk and also during the networking session beforehand. All the feedback we have received from our delegates has been glowing and I would not hesitate to book Claire again or to recommend her to other event managers.
Head of Events
James McQuillan - Doula UK
A huge and heartfelt thanks from us all for being a complete superstar! I've returned home to a full mail box with nothing but praise for a great day, and you certainly pushed all the right buttons, as several of the Board have asked if you would do things for us in the future as they thought you were so great!
Thanks again, you really captured what we wanted - we tend to have very "serious" events most of the time and we really worked hard to make this more of a fun & sociable day and you absolutely hit the spot - can't thank you enough.
Tim Campbell, Claire Young, Howard Ebison & Raef Bajyou – Croydon YE
On behalf of Croydon (the best) YE I would like to thank Tim, Claire, Howard and Raef for their all help last night. Each of their contributions gave a real lift to the evening. What was so interesting was how all their personalities shone through ....lots of people have commented and the phone has not stopped this morning.....I haven't been able to get any work done myself!
The evening went fantastically well and the Achievers went home with a palpable buzz - they can't wait for their businesses to kick-start next week, and that's the main aim for the Launch. Powerful stuff!
Please pass on, on behalf of 200 budding entrepreneurs a massive vote of thanks.
Claire Young - Monster
Claire provided a very strong presentation which was both entertaining and informative at the Monster Career Fairs in Birmingham and Manchester. Most of the feedback from the fairs was regarding the presentations and many of the visitors to the fair gave their most feedback on Claire's presentation. If you need a motivational speaker who can speak from experience and give advice and guidance in these difficult times on how to get that job, Claire will do a fantastic job.
Head of Communications UK and Ireland – Monster
Claire Young - Women in Business for Monetary Solutions Limited
Claire’s speech was brilliant, down to earth and inspirational. Giving up a £100,000 job at Superdrug to go on the Apprentice takes guts and hearing people taking risks gives you strength to do it yourself. Women need to hear other women who have achieved this.
I work in a male dominated sector; in fact only about 5% are females. Due to my occupation I get invited to many functions and listen to many after dinner speakers and they are nearly all male. I have listened to how people have climbed up mountains, sporting heroes, been on the front line and ran major corporations, but I have only heard a couple by women.
Claire is someone you can relate to; she speaks honestly and from the heart. Her speech is not only humorous but inspiring and one everyone should listen to. Claire’s popularity helped to draw in the crowds which meant we were able to raise much needed money for charity.I am very grateful to her.
Director, Monetary Solutions Limited
Claire Young - HERO Project
"Claire was an inspiration to our audience of young people, her speech was witty and engaging and applauded by business guests, teachers and students alike. We particluarly loved the way she advocated grasping every opportunity that comes your way and encouraged the enterprising students of Blackpool to adopt an ethos of self-belief and risk taking. We would and in fact have had no hesitation in inviting Claire back to work with more of our learners in the future. Positive young women role models are exactly what we need more of!"
Enterprise Developemnt Manager, HERO Project
Lee McQueen - Hillingdon Training’s Young Apprentices Celebrate with TV’s Apprentice Winner
Hillingdon Training students celebrated after completing a Young Apprentice programme, at an event held at The Thistle Hotel, Heathrow on 11th May. Apprentice winner and former Queensmead pupil, Lee McQueen, helped to present certificates in Health and Social Care, Hospitality and Catering as well as Motor Vehicle, to learners from eleven Hillingdon Borough schools.
A Young Apprenticeship offers 14-16 year olds the opportunity to gain a vocational qualification at Level 2, equivalent to four GCSE’s at A*-C. Learners are also required to complete 50 days relevant work experience, providing them with a valuable introduction into the world of work.
Drawing on his own experiences as Sir Alan Sugar’s most recent apprentice, Lee passed on some valuable advice to the students, encouraging them to be motivated, driven and determined in their approach to work: “I think what Hillingdon Training is doing is superb. If Young Apprenticeships had been available when I was at school, I definitely would have gone down that route as a traditional education wasn’t for me. This is a great achievement for these young people and an important stepping stone towards a successful career.”
Tre Azam - Entrepreneurs’ Forum
We are just back to the office after a week of three events last week and now that the dust has settled, wanted to take this opportunity to express our thanks to Tre for delivering a truly wonderful talk to hundreds of aspiring young entrepreneurs aiming to follow in his footsteps.
Tre delivered what we thought he would and then some – a fiery, ruthless and shrewd individual in his business journey with an admirable work ethic – he told his story with true honesty and had the audience hooked.
There was plenty of humour from Tre which also went down exceptionally well with the students in the room, indeed following his talk so many delegates wanted to chat with Tre at one point I noticed it was going to be almost impossible to get him out for a break with the huge crowd surrounding him.
Tre’s messages and lessons learnt gave a really positive vibe throughout the day – most inspiring of all, told so eloquently by Tre, was his steadfast determination never to give up and always prove the doubters wrong!
Claire Young – RBS
Claire kindly agreed to visit the RBS Group and give a talk to the Focused Women's Network, in aid of the NSPCC.
Claire is an accomplished public speaker, who effortlessly combines a natural spontaneity with polish and poise, delighting her audience. Claire has a natural star quality, and engages with ease at all levels of interaction, whether on stage talking, or mingling and meeting people as a very special guest.
Claire was terrifically supportive of our charity goals and was the key success factor in a very successful fund raising evening.
Claire Young – Make Your Mark Challenge 2008 – London Regional Final
Claire agreed to come along to the Make Your Mark Challenge 2008 - London Schools Regional Final in November 2008, and act as our lead judge and inspirational speaker.
She stood up in front of a room full of students and delivered a fantastic speech that had the students and teachers hanging on her every word. She was totally professional, funny, engaged with the students throughout and was more than happy to talk with them at the end of the sessions judging to provide individual feedback on their performances.
She knows how to pick a winner, as the team that Claire and her fellow judges selected as the winner on the day went on to win the National Final too!!
We are very grateful to Claire for her part in what was an incredibly successful event.
